Design is driven by livability objectives that include open interior spaces and interior illumination primarily by daylight during light hours. Serene natural materials predominate. Color scheme developed in collaboration with Donald Kaufman utilizes a range of whites and off-whites that create variety without detracting from the owners’ art collection. Substantial glazed areas provide abundant interior illumination and views out just above the treetops of Central Park. Subtle traditional detailing maintains continuity with the architecture of the building.
